If you believe that a single GOP player in this upcoming clusterfuck of investigations is going to pause and think, “Huh. You’re right. I didn’t care when George W. Bush did the same or worse. I should end this hypocrisy,” you are as delusional as the most extreme Benghazi conspiracy theorists, the ones who think that the IRS thing is Obama’s way to distract from the far, far worse Benghazi “scandal.” (No, really, Rush Limbaugh believes this.)
Your argument is noted, good liberals who still smart from the lack of prosecution of anyone for the crimes and excesses of the Bush administration. Indeed, it was laughable when today John Boehner asked regarding the IRS asking conservative groups extra questions, “Who’s going to jail over this scandal?” Your first instinct might be to say, “Oh, shut the fuck up, Annoying Orange.”
There is only one thing that’ll end this madness: End the madness of GOP control in the House and prevent them from gaining control of the Senate.

Exchange of the Day
Former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld was interviewed on Marketplace about his new book, Rumsfeld’s Rules:
Marketplace: “I do wonder whether you read [former Sec of Def] Robert McNamara’s memoirs when it came out”
Rumsfeld: “I have not”
Marketplace: “That book was widely seen as an apology for his role in Vietnam. I looked in this book pretty hard for any rule you might have about apologizing and I couldn’t find one”
Rumsfeld: “And? What is your question?”
Marketplace: “Did you ever think about apologizing?”The answer is no. Rumsfeld, Cheney, and Bush will never see the evil that they did. They will never admit the errors they used to make more errors. They only see dollar signs, barrels of oil, and childlike ‘good v evil’ narratives.
House Republicans are pushing a bill that takes away extra pay for overtime, substituting “comp” time instead.
