Texas Gov. Rick Perry formally launched his presidential campaign in August and quickly shot to the top of national polls, where he continues to dominate.
Maintaining his healthy lead by appealing to the Tea Party, he recently came very close to accusing Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke of treason and has raised new concerns over his previous assertions that Social Security and Medicare were unconstitutional by calling Social Security a Ponzi scheme and a “monstrous lie.”
